Quest Standalone (no PC method)

This procedure permits a Quest Standalone user to install Echo VR without any external device - all actions are performed on the Quest headset

Prior to starting

  • Remove any additional Meta accounts from the headset

  • If you previously owned Echo VR, install it from the store then uninstall it!

  • You may get a prompt with Open, Restore and Cancel when you launch Echo VR after using this method. Click on Open, never restore. If Open doesn't exist, click on Cancel and restart your headset until Open shows up.


Prerequisites

  • Quest 2 or Quest 3 headset

  • Developer mode enabled - instructions here

  • Join Echo VR Lounge Discord here

  • You don't need a computer for this installation!
